I also had an auntie Nin, her real name was Jessie however! Not sure that will help much. I think it was just an effectionate pet name in families (mine were London too) without any relation to actual name.

oh and forgot to mention for 'Nell'..I also had two auntie Nells, one real name Caroline the other Eleanor!

I know you have now found your Nin - but just thought I would add - my grandmother's cousin was nicknamed Nin - but her real name was Eileen.

My nan was known as Nin, her name was Nellie Rosina.

i have a Nin in my tree, think it was short for Winnifred. go figure.
