For Malrware/Spyware removal I use Ad-Aware 2007 (free), and Spy-Bot Search and Destroy again free. |

Hi Joy, forgot to mention the Zone Alarm firewall as well for free. Better than the inbuild windows one. |

As a minimum you need an Anti-Spyware program, and and Anti-Virus one (the two are NOT the same) |

Always make sure your copy of Windows is fully up to date with the latest security fixes. Many attacks prey on security flaws in un-updated machines. |

I have AVG Internet Security Home Edition, includes Anti virus, Anti Spy, anti Spam and firewall. aprox £70 for 3 computers for 2 years. (I am not using the firewall and anti spam on this computer) Checks for updates every hour. |

I never saw that Trojan once but maybe it's because I can't see adverts? |

Joyce, you can switch off the option for AVG to scan every time you switch the computer on. If you are finding a trojan everyday, is it the same one, is it related to the one on Genes? You could have malware on your computer causing this. Ad aware and spybot are not anti virus and won't conflict with the AVG, neither are they real time. |
