Hi All,

Does anyone have a Jack Wicks in their tree?
Married a Majorie May sometime in 1945 in Reading.

I have no idea where he was born or when.
I guess it would be in the Reading..but I'm not convinced.

I know there are a number of Jacks Wicks born between 1900 and 1930. But I can't decide which one he might be....
Hoping someone has a Wicks married to a Marjorie May in their tree.

I have looked into a Fuller being his mother..but I have not evidence that she is his mother...

Yes ..I know before some folks say....buy the marriage cert..but I don't have the GRO number....as I haven't found the marriage and it's just a guess of the date based on when their children were born.

Anyone with a possible link, I would love to hear from you, as he is my grandfather.

Thats something to be going on.

My parents divorced when I was 5-6 years old.
Hes my grandfather on my mothers side.
I never saw my mother much after the divorce till i was about 20..Even then I never saw her much...she died in 98 before I really got to know her.

I couldn't ask my father as he died in 86.!...

If it's the right Jack's death!......lol. :)

Once you get the marriage cert you'll be able to work out his date of birth,and have his father's name of course ;-)

edit- If he had one of course! everything crossed for you x

He's been a dead end ever since I started looking into my family.

Same goes for my Grt grandfather...Majories fathers.

Don't know anything about him either...know loads about his wife...but nothing about him.

You would have thought is would be easier to find the men in the family....but I've found it easier to find the women!....lol..
