Hi Laura

Thank you for your kind offer.

Please could you look for 3 brothers in ww1 service records. They are John Hall How c1894, Alfred How c1895 and Thomas Ellis Edward How 1898. John and Thomas born Durham, South Shields and Alfred born Norwich, Norfolk. Not even sure if they served so it's a bit of a long shot but they are about the right ages.

Much appreciated.

Julie

I'm sure you would qualify as you are a blood relative. I'm not entirely sure, but you can definitely request and application form, I expect the instructions will be made clear on there.
Good luck!

Thanks Laura

I'm not sure whether I will be able to do this as I am not sure who would be next of kin. The only child still a live would not give us permission. She had a big fall out with her father before he died.
Would My Mum qualify?. She was his Sons wife. I am the Grandaughter.

Thanks for your help

for ww2 records, you have to send off to the MOD and have permission of the veteran or next of kin. these are the details you will need to request an application form:
Army Personnel Centre
HQ Secretariat
Historical Disclosures
Mail Point 400
Kentigern House
65 Brown Street
Glasgow
G2 8EX
Tel: 0845 600 9663, option 1, then option 3
hope this is useful, Laura xx

Only have Lydia's parents names. Lydia married Edward Wallis when in 1892. Edward's address at that time was 33 East Street and Lydia's 15 William's Place. John Hill was deceased at that stage.
