Hi Mary,

Could you please do a look-up in any of the census records for Sarah & Thomas Ruddock (often transcribed as Ruddick or Rudduck). Sarah was born Holt in about 1808, possibly in Derby, but would be living in London by 1841.I have no details for Thomas. I have their son's B/C - William Alfred Ruddock born 1842 in St.Albans, Herts. Sarah & William were married 26/07/1835 in St.James, Westminster. I have previously found William, their son, in 1851 with his Holt uncle,William, but no sign of his parents. On B/C Thomas is a 'Steward & Butler' .

Sorry but is not possible to see details of BMD certificates online.
You have to purchase the crtificates from GRO at a cost of £7.50 each (if you have the GRO reference number).
As a matter if interest Marriage certs do not show the mothers name.The names of both fathers and their occupations are shown.

I am looking for info on John Thomas Lawlor and his wife Elizabeth (maiden name unknown). Their last address as a couple was North View, California, Eston, North Yorks. My grandmother,s last address was High Street, Eston, North Yorks, where she lived with my uncle William (Bill) Lawlor. They had a large family including my father Reginald, Raymond, Cal, Ned, Theresa and Florence. I believe my grandfather died in Eston Hospital around March 1960. Sorry but you will not be able to get a birth cert for this as Civil Registration did not start until 1837.
Prior to Sept 1837 all BMD info was recorded on Parish Registers.
You may be able to get info from local parish records.
