All I know about my great grand father is his name was Hubert Hunt, born q3 1886 in Kensington but I believe he was born in Marylebone. He married Elsie Rolfe in Sept 1915. |

According to the birth certificate his mother's name was Emily Ada Hunt a servant of 6 North Row. He was born in the Kensington Infirmary. There is no father registered. |

The marriage certificate lists his father as Hubert Albert Hunt, a farmer. |

Hi.The only Hubert Hunt,that fit's for 1901 census...is an inmate at the Boy Brigade,District House in Marylebone.It give's his[ where born] as St John's Wood N.W. age 15. |

Perhaps because Hubert didn't know who his father was he just used his mother's father's name. |
