If it is the Easton family you are interested in you are a bit out with dates!!
Easton is not too far from Winchester.

Here are the baptisms of the children of that William and Mary LIGHT
12 Oct 1813-Elizabeth (at Martyr Worthy) of Easton
05 Nov 1815-Rachel
16 May 1819-William
25 Nov 1821-Marianne
31 Oct 1824-Thomas

Could not see a Jane

The only marriage of a William to a Mary which will fit is this one:-
13 August 1809 at Micheldever
William LIGHT & Mary PATIENCE.

If this is the one then there may be a couple of earlier children as my Index does not start until 1813!

I checked the buriels and the children appear to have survived to 1837!

There is this one:-

Could be your Williams dad?

There is no marriage for a William HARRISON and Sarah KING in the Index

The Indexes are compiled by the Hampshire Genealogical Society. from the registers.
They are extremely thorough.

The only way you can confirm the details yourself is to view the filmed records at the HRO(not sure if the LDS have filmed them)
You would get any witnessess,the Index does not include them.

Looking at the Index of marriages between 1754-1837)there is only one(male or female)that took place at Easton:-
12 November 1795
William Light & Ann Marsh
Several at the various Winchester churches though!

Hi thank you any help will be good.

Charles Bendall married Hannah about 1820 (first child born that year in Clanville Hampshire).

I'm sorry I have no other information except that both were born there.

I have 2 possible William Boswells for my tree, one of whom married a Mary Upton from Bromsgrove in Doxford possibly 6/1870

The other was born slightly earlier and married a Jemima singleton in Q4 1971.

What I'm trying to work out is which William is my direct descendent and wonderred if there's any further info you could add that would back this up eg father's names, etc

There is no listing of a church there!

I cannot find a marriage for Charles BENDALL and Hannah ? (under any varient!)
It is odd because they are baptising children at Weyhill from 1816 at the same time as a John Bendall & Hannah (nee Craddock) who married at Weyhill
in 1817.

There is just no Charles B marrying a Hannah at all.

Do you have a baptism for him,he must have been born about 1794ish?

<3 I think by finding this Warn post that you have solved a mystery for us! A friend I'm researching for, these (James & Sarah & family) are his 3 gr grandparents. I've been unable to find her maiden name or their marriage.

no, that can't be right after all as I have James born 1798 Boldre, Hampshire, have his christening, etc. , nothing on Sarah besides the censuses you posted ,Tracey, now I'm truly confused. Will see if I can reach Alan who originally posted.
