Please add any information that would help people looking or are helping to search for information
Once you have posted your message and got an answer the best thing to do is to erase the title of your original message and replace it with a SORTED-Thank you or Being Sorted-Thank you and add the name of the person that helped you
This alerts the helpers that you are being dealt with or your problem has been sorted out for you and they can move on to help somebody else also it saves two or three of them doing the same query
You can always add your bigger response in the reply box so when they get a minute they can read them
This will also let them know that you have indeed got back to you thread
Please also let them know if you have lost your original message that you may have pasted & lost they may be able to nudge it up for you along with all the info that they looked for at the time !
If you cannot find your original message click on the "yellow box" on the left hand side of screen "Man in Top hat" and you will find your request thread there to see if you have any replies or to update your request

I am not sure that people, particularly people new to the site, realise they have to come back to the Boards for their answers.

This is where one of the partners Is not able to attend the reading of the Banns. ( due to being of an other faith )
So appoints a member of the Registrars staff To sit in to hear them Then a certificate is issued Usually Marriage register is marked :~
“ By Certificate of the Registrar.”
By the way “ via Licence” can also be in a Church.

I must admit if I think somebody hasn't seen the information I have posted on their thread I use their name on the left hand side to send a personal e-mail to say I have left info. I then tell them how to find it because it has probably long vanished from the screen.

Although I am a fairly new member I have done what I can to help others (unpaid) but yet I have to pay extortionate amounts to GR for this privelge, and when there's a problem they don't care about us ! Sorry going off on a bit of a tangent there but am so angry about recent problems.

If you have pasted a message here Do not leave the board!!
A normal response from Helpers is under 3 minutes and they will normally let you know that they are looking
If you have not time to wait do not post the message until you have the time, as they will probably need to ask you a few questions to further the search!!

IRISH INFORMATION
The following website will give you the up to date picture where all the Irish Records are on line at present, and it does include: Leitrim, Armagh, Roscommon, North Tipperary. and Dublin Swords:
http://ifhf.brsgenealogy.com/
The following are new sites added recently
http://corknortheast.brsgenealogy.com/
To access the site you will have to register which is free. The sting in the tail comes later! The site is name search and then a fee of 10 Euros for each throw of the dice. Great for those with unusual Irish names, but could be costly for those with names like Murphy and O'Neill!
Still it is yet more Irish records online and now follows the North Tipperary, Swords, Amagh and Roscommon sites

All to often they are searching in England for someone that is living in another country !
please let the helpers know if you think they may have emigrated abroad as this could be quick to find out in some cases, and save them a lot of time and trouble
REMEMBER !!
Every scrap of info you have should be posted in tough searches! Something that may mean nothing to you can make a world of difference to " The Helpers "
Please remember that this Record board is not the only board that the Helping hands maintain they have to split their time between all the boards!!

Please make sure you give name & any initials of the person you are looking for this is a great help!!
If you know what name the initial stands for give that !
Street name may pinpoint a location for someone!
