Find Ancestors

born 10/11/28 Brockenhurst Hants. All I know is that his father went to the US in 1930 died San Diego 1980. No trace of Enid. She did not go with him at the time and have found no trace of Enid since then.. I have not searched for other Griffiths births with the maiden name Watts ...my father never looked for his parents..grew up in barnardos and unwilling to speak of his childhood. He passed away in 2005 so no one to ask.

Steph..I think his birth was kept secret, reading between the lines. He was a month or so old when he was left at the nursing home where he was born. The file from Barnardos gives no info other than when they took Dad in as an orphan and his time in their care. Enid lodged in Brockenhurst arriving there pregnant and leaving as soon as she could. I really don't think her parents knew...or if they did, they didn't care. I'd rather like to think they didn't know about my dad....to ignore a grandchild would be awful.

It is a sad tale..especially as my father was a wonderful man.

Hi its possible....she was born 1875ish so the dates almost match and they may have moved back to the London area. Her middle name was Ann if that helps at all

I was only looking for Harriet Watts as I thought her birth was recorded only as Harriet.

Will have to backtrack. As you say they may have moved back to London I take it that we are looking at deaths etc in the Sussex area?
