Sorry Selena.
After reading the postings I can see that I was confuseing Frederick Thomas with his brother. I have so many names running about in my head at the moment,lol.
I have used the familysearch and BMD site and have found no registration of birth for Frederick.So you must be write and he wasnt registered at all.

I'm confused Dionne! Whose dates of birth doesn't add up? I added christening dates, you would need to look them up on familysearch to check if actual birth dates are listed.

Also, Thomas may have not been registered at all. Registration was only introduced in 1837 and was not compulsory until 1875!!

Have you looked on FreeBMD website?

I dont think the birth of 21 Dec 1835 would be correct as his age wouldnt match up with his siblings in your previous post.But your information on the birth in Sept 1840 looks like the strongest possible one. is the information you have given th whole ref number because I will oder the certificate.

Hi All

As you can see form the message Diane so kindly sent.Frederick was born on the 13th Sept 1840.
I have a ref number for his death and marriage certificate but i am still unable to find a ref number for his birth certificate.
Any help would be great.

What a star you are Diane thankyou.I can now cross that search off my list.

It is now fredericks father I am having trouble with.I have searched through parish records and ancestry and can only find him on the 1841 cencus. I cant find his birth or marriage etc. I even tried looking for his wife Jane williams.

I am also having trouble tracking down any information on his parents WIlliam Arnold Wilkens and Jane WIlliams,again marriage etc.

I have been searching for more information on William Arnold Wilkens but can only find information that has already been left on this thread. I can only see him in the 1841 cencus.
I have spent two hours looking for his marriage and his parents etc.
