If Edwin retired from the Police before 1969 (he would have been 58 then), and if he was in the Met Police, his record will be at Kew! Happy to look, but might be a long search, not knowing his retirement date. What would retirement age have been? Anybody know? Would it have been 55? If so, could look at records around 1966 |

Thanks for your reply, Pamela. I've actually asked an older person in the last few days who had worked with retired Met Police and he thinks retirement age was between 52 and 55. So I'll start with 1966 and go backwards! |
