I think I was almost as excited as you are!! I suppose the family info was recorded when he enlisted, so he wouldn't have been married then, and it just never got added on. Haven't looked at the census yet - wanted to hear what you thought first, but now off to look at it! |

You were great Ann finding the info at Kew. What do you think of the names ie Edward or Edwin? There is a birth for Edwin in right area and on 1891 he is listed as Edwin? |

Thanks for your kind words - I was just happy to find it! Seems to have used both names for some reason - 1 on one daughters marriage and 1 on the other! If there's only a birth for an Edwin and not an Edward, I suppose that must be him. If Dionne wanted to order the cert, she could specify that fathers name had to be William - I wouldn't mention mothers name - she seems to have been Sarah and Annie! |
