Hi Ceri,
Would you be able to look up my great grandparents for me at all? My grandfather, Edmund Martin was born on 31 May 1935 to Edmund Martin and Dorothy Martin, formerly Ward. He was born at 147a Mill Road, Everton. They were ordinarily resident at 39 Harrogate Street, Everton. My great grandfather's occupation was Corporation Labourer.
Many thanks if you can help.
Kind regards
Cheryl

Julie This is a possible marriage for Henry and Frances Webber (the birth cert for one of the children will confirm it is them, as it will give Frances's maiden name! But this would make one assume that she could be Frances MOODY.

Cheryl You have asked me to look up your grt grandparents Edmund Martin and Dorothy Ward. However you have not stated an approximate year of birth/marriage/death for them or any further details. They are both quite common names and therefore there are hundreds of results, can you provide any further details, even if just the county that im expecting to find them in would help. Thanks Ceri

Julie It is possible, as relatives did tend to live extremeley close to each other, bear in mind though that the 1841 census is not very helpful for us as it doesnt provide much info, the only way to be sure would be to make a note of them all somewhere until you can confirm there relationships via certificates etc. I had about 3 generations all living next door to each other at one point (i couldnt live that close to my family, i dont think!!)
Frances in 1841 was old enough to have been working and probably would have been!! I would say that the census i posted is maybe the household she worked for ie a cook, servant or similar and her family lived in the same road as she worked (they may have been friends of the family that had given her the job) Definately worth digging some more Ceri

Hi Ian can you do lookup for passenger lists from 1910 to USA Mary Gallagher (nee Keegan) dob 1886 born Houghton le Spring,Co. Durham England and James Valentine Gallagher, her husband. she would have been about 26. It is thought they went to live in Maryland? or Springfield? and its possible that they left england because James was "in trouble"?? I know its not much to go on but I am desperate to find some idea of what happened to them. thanks catherine

The following appears to be the only Mary Gallagher travelling with a husband named James Gallagher, i have looked at the actual transcription and they also have two children with them. There are so many Mary Gallagher's and James Gallagher's travelling but not necessarily as companions etc (ie they are on same ship but just not down as companions)
GALLAGHER Mary Adult F 1911 Queenstown USA New York
