Hi Michelle Is this census name indexed? Only I don't know where mine were living? I would like you to look Bertha Wilson up for me, born Islington, 1870 Also Eliza Culver born 1819ish Hertfordshire (Possibly Great Munden). I don't know where these were living at that time. Would a look up be possible?? A very big thankyou if it could. Lisa |

Hi Michelle Thanks for that, but you guessed it, wrong!! I am not sure of Eliza at all, maybe she was dead by then, and the only info on her that I have is from the 1881 census. However, Bertha I have more, she was my grandmother, and was definately born 1870 Islington, I have her birth certificate. However, Wilson might be spelled with 2 'l' s, also, Islington is a large area, and maybe she put some other area down as birth place. I know her father was dead by then, not sure about her mother, I was hoping to find them together! Anyway, I don't know if this will help any more, but she was definately around somewhere, and not married until 1898! Thanks so much Lisa |

Hi Michelle, The ages are for 1891. Might have to get Max to do an address search if you can't find them. I'm still struggling with me Pikes ! I've found some really interesting stuff in the IGI and I'm pretty sure it's my GGG grandfather and his ancestors. If it is, I've traced the Pikes back to 1780ish and the female line (Willder) back even further. To prove I've got the right people I need to find Alfred Pike's marriage cert from about 1840, but I just can't ! How are you doing with yours ? I'm convinced we'll find a common ancestor one day. Both lots are from East London, even if mine are North and yours are South ! Thanks for the lookup, Rick. |
