Hi Linda I would be grateful if you could find anything at all for William Lewis Long. According to both the 1881 & 1901 Census he was born around 1863 but one says Woodstock, Oxford and the other says Chefordshire, Stafford. Having checked 1837 Online the only William Lewis Long born around this time was in Birmingham. Unfortunately I don't know his mother or father's name, but he was married twice, 1st wife Martha, 2nd Caroline and was a farrier by trade. He lived mostly in and around London. If it is of any help he was conscripted for service in 1915 into the Army Veterinary Corps but lied about his age, saying he was 48 but his photo clearly shows that he was closer to 58-60. If you could shed absolutely any light on him at all I would be really grateful. |

Hi Linda, I would appreciate a look up please for George Gornall and his wife Ellen and family. George born 1860 in Preston. Children: Mary Ellen 1885 Jane 1890 If it is not too much trouble could you also look for his father William (he may be deceased in 1891 not sure) william born Preston 1840 and his wife Ann. They will probably have the youngest of their children still with them, Alice, born 1873, Ann born 1877 Margaret born 1881 in Wigan. If possible I would like to know where they were living in 1891 and who was in the household. Don't worry if this is too much. Best wishes, Jenny |

Can you find anything on John Thomas Hearn b.1881 in Bedford. He was still single in 1901 but I know he married and I believe it was to Annie Barnett (but grandma could have been mistaken). They both worked and lived at Wadenhoe Manor or Lodge in the early 1900's and died at St. Mary's hospital Kettering Northants, not sure of the year but it was after 1943. Been trying to locate this couple for ages now- its really his wife I'm after so I can link them to my tree. Thanks Mary Brooke |
