Hi Laurie, I just posted a message about a family I am missing on the 1881 census. Perhaps you could help. The name on the 1851 census is Henry (30) and Mary (32) Lacey. They are living in Tylers Green, Bucks. They have children James, Isaac, Jesse, Charlotte, Henry and Ellen. They are all down as being born in Wycombe and the Registration district is High Wycombe. Have you got access in Bucks although I know the Boundary changed and could be Oxon. Any help appreciated. Also I don't know much about Death Indexes but am really stuck on a John Homewood who died in Horton Kirby, Kent in 1835. I cannot find out where he was born. Would that give you any information. Many thanks Georgina |

Hi Laurie I'd be really chuffed if you could find any of these three on the 1851 census - Harriet Carr or Strachan aged about 18 born Pancras, Charles Carr born Clerkenwell or Pancras aged about 6 and Ann Strachan aged between 5 and 1 and born in St Lukes or Pancras - they're proving impossible to sort out:) I think they would all be in the Pancras / Clerkenwell area although Ann may be in St Lukes. If that's too vague I quite understand:) Also I don't know if you have the same index as Lynda Pace because they're not on hers! Many thanks David |

Hi Brian, Still nothing. I would check freebmd for his death in case it's there. The only other possibility is could he have went to America? There are two on the New York passenger lists 1851-1891 but you would need somebody with Ameriacn Ancestry to look that up for you. Sorry I couldn't be of more help and good luck. Laurie |
