Hi I'd be really grateful for a couple of 1841 lookups Ellen COLDRICK was in Kingsholme in 1851, she would in the 1841 have possibly son Charles aged about 8 and daughter Ellen aged about 5. Also looking for Richard Hodges CARTER and possibly his wife Ann Maria, he was in Bell Lane, City of Gloucester in 1833. He also had property in South Hamlet. These are my 3x great grandparents and the current bane of my life! If I can ever do anything for you in exchange (I'm in Cardiff) please let me know ... xxx Annie

Many thanks for the offer. Another GC member kindly found me the below in 1851, if you could find them in 1861 I'd be very grateful. ST PAUL 169 KNIGHT Josiah Smith 30 Clerk at Vinegar Works Bristol KNIGHT Mary 34 Bristol KNIGHT Louisa 4 Bristol KNIGHT Reginald 1 Bristol KNIGHT Herbert 4m Bristol WRIDE ? Elizabeth Mother in Law Widow / Widower 63 Bristol WRIDE Sarah Cousin Spinster 81 Bedminster PRIGG Martha 18 Servant Gloucestershire St Georges If you also look for Josiah and Mary in 1841 I would be even more grateful. They weren't married in 1841 so Mary should be listed as Mary Louisa Wride, hopefully with mother Elizabeth as above, as yet don't know the father details. P.S. the family is still at St. Paul in 1871 at 10 Meadow Street so hopefully they won't be too far away in the other years. Many many thanks Lesley

Pat I would be so grateful if you could do me some look-ups in 1861 Rendcomb for William MEALING farm labourer, single, b. Rendcomb 1835 He would be living with his parents, JOHN (b Guiting Power) and MARY Mealing and their other children including Emma or alternatively with Richard MOSS and his daughter SARAH and her child. The year after this census, in 1862, William murdered Sarah, so I would be really interested to know where these people were, and if possible the name of Sarah's child. I would be pleased to have information about both these households if possible. Many thanks in advance. Helen

Hi Patricia: If possible, you could you please try to find Joseph Benjamin Walker age 5 or 6 on the 1841 census. He was born in Cheltenham in 1835. I think I have his family in Deerhurst Walton parish of Deerhurst but he is not with them. I am wondering if he was already away at a boarding school or just visiting someone. The family I have found have a three day old child and other young children so am wondering if Joseph was sent away while the baby was born. Any leads you can give me would be a huge help.

Hi Pat Thank you so much for finding them on the 1861 for me, you have given me another name- Mary Hookins, on the 1851 I have a Hannah Hookins sister in law aged 50 so maybe this Mary aged 84 that you found might just be mother in law instead? Also thanks for trying for the 1841 for me, maybe they wern't married then. If it's possible do you think you can send me the image for the census? If I can be of any help to you in the future just email me,I owe you. Jill
