Hi Laurie No sorry I really haven't got a clue where in Sussex. Don't worry if its too difficult to find without a more specific place name - the only other possible clue is that James became a mariner so I'm thinking one of the ports might be most likely??? Many thanks anyway. Regards Lesley |

Thanks so much for this offer. I wonder if it would be possible to find Emily Gurr (father Henry) born abt 1841 in Brighton. This gg grandmother is proving impossible to find. Also, please, Matthew Tanner born Thaxted in Essex around 1812. With many thanks. |

Hi Laurie, if you can find the following then it will be a big help to me: Thomas James GOULD, aged 9, born Westminster Martha Charlotte GOULD, aged 1, born Pimlico Robert William GOULD, aged < 1, born Pimlico Parents are: Robert & Ann/Annie GOULD - no known information about them as yet. They could be in London/Middlesex but also Surrey possibly. Also desperately trying to find: Mary YATES, aged 2, born Droitwich Worcestershire Parents are: James & Eliza YATES. Both parents were born in Worcestershire but they may not be in Worcestershire on the 1851 census as I think they moved to Staffordshire. They are a right pain this family as they constantly moved around a lot. Thanks in advance, Andy |
