Jill Do you know where you'd like me to look for John, do you think he was still living in Marston Magna in 1861? Nikki |

Hi Nikki Have just posted a thread asking for info on 1861 census and then saw yours! Doh! Please could you look for any GLIDE / GLYDE family members in North Curry or Curry Mallett. They were there in 1841 and 1851! Many thanks Evie |

Hi Nikki You very kindly found info for me on Eliza Talbot, West St, Somerton. Can I be cheeky and ask if you found anything for James, her son, who was born in 1841 and would have been 20. In the 1851 census he was in the Langport workhouse, High Ham. Thanks Nikki. Regards Steph |

Hi Nicki. Please could you look up Sarah Chick, b1806, living in Walton, near Street. Also Charles Burt, b1839 in Midsomer Norton, he should have been living in Compon Dundon in 1861, or possilbly could have still been in the MSN area. Thanks K |

Hi Nikki Thank you fo rthe offer. My family : Michael William KIRBY b 1827 Ireland ( now sometimes his name is William Michael Kirby and place of birth Wales) He married in BATH in 1859 to Ellen Rees b 1836 Coleford GLS. They would have jus one child in 1861 Ellen Harriet KIRBY b 1860 Weston Somerset. I do know from a diary of Ellen's that for some time they lived in BRISTOL in the 1860's . Please could I ask you to look in Weston , Bristol and Bath for them ? Many many thanks for your time and kindness. Much happiness Debi |

Debi I don't have an index for the census which means I don't type in search criteria I have to scroll though each sheet of the returns. Looking over such a wide area would literally take days. If you can be a bit more specific I'm more than happy to help. Nikki |

Nikki I am sorry I didn't realise........please don't worry as I have no idea where they would have been in 1861 ( just those 3 towns - no idea of districts etc) . Hopefully some more info will come to light and thus I will be able to pin them down and come back to you at a later stage ( I hope :~)) Thank you Nikki Much happiness Debi |
