Hi Claire Thanks for the offer but I'm not sure that it is the right John Weston. I know that there are others around the same time and area. If it's ok with you I will check it out and get back to you. Don't want you to do a load of work if not necessary. Sacriston is about 8 miles north Durham and comes under the Chester-le-Street registration area after 1837. Hamsterley is a few miles west of Bishop Auckland. Take care Chezza

Cheeky Chezza,, I checked on Genuki gazateer to see where Sacriston is, i couldnt find it withing 10 miles of Hamsterely, which i think is near the Cleveland border. Chezza,,,there are heaps if Raines,,,,(groan),,,,but im happy to send you them all,,,it will just take me a bit of time. I think you should have them incase they are useful in the future,, Do you want them just for a particualr area ,,,or all the ones in Durham?

That's great Claire thank you very much. Was the John Weston entry for Sacriston? Dont suppose there were any other entries for Raine she asked cheekily! Chezza

Hi Claire, Thanks for the offer. I'm looking for Robert SPENCE marrying Jane TENNICK in Redmarshall, Co Durham. Their first child was born 1838 so hopefully they might just fit in your search years. Could you also have a look for Janes mother Martha marrying an unknown TENNICK. Many Thanks. Paul

Hi Claire Gosh, that's great, thank you very much for the Ann MIDDLETON marriages. May I have another please? Have just found one of my rellies on the 1861 - Edward COULSON married to Mary ? living in Corbridge, NBL. Edward was born 1796 in Chollerton and Mary 1803 in Corbridge so probably married after 1820, most likely in NBL. Thank you. Lynne x

Hello again Claire May I have another lookup please from both sides of the line, I mean Tyne! Ann MIDDLETON to ??? post 1818. One possibility is a man named ROBSON. Ann had an illegitimate son in 1818 who was raised by his father and we do not know what became of Ann. She may have died, of course, but we were wondering if there are any likely marriages that could be followed? Thank you. Kind regards and God bless you, Lynne xx P.S. Pretty sure the marriage you found in Newcastle for John STOBBART and Dorothy CURRY is the one and will follow up further. They had a son called Robert Curry STOBBART found still at home in 1871! Thanks again.
