Hi Dawn, thanks so much for offering to help. I am looking for William Walker, born 1844/5 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, he married, I need a name if possible and a year, she died (when?) and he moved to Wallsend in Northumberland and remarried Margaret someone, and had several children. Also if possible I would like to know his parents names. Thanks again Paul

KATHRYN MACLEAN Hi Kathryn I have their marriage date as 7 Feb 1833, Duirinish, Inverness. I found two children for this couple. Maybe a few others too. From the census returns do you know if they ever lived in Lairg, Sutherland? I have found a couple there with the same names who had loads of children. They probably aren't yours but thought I'd check. Let me know. MAUREEN WHITE Hi Maureen This was the only entry for a James White in Aberdeen, so very possible he's yours. I couldn't find anything on his brother William but did find his parents marriage. GEORGE FERGUSON Hi George The only entry that I could find is a possible birth for Hamilton. It's in Renfrewshire, so near to Greenock where you said two fo the children were christened. I couldn't find anything for any of the children, this could be that they were all christened Catholic and my records are more Presbyterian. I did come up with a marriage for a Hamilton Currie in Glasgow in 1843. Could Sarah have died and he remarried? I've included it for you, just in case. Hi Dawn, Thanks for your kind offer. Trying to find details of Elizabeth Adamson, born 1781/1782 in Berwick-on-Tweed, Scotland. Elizabeth married James Inglis born 1779/1780 (birthplace unknown, but possibly Scotland) on 10/01/1804 in Gravesend, Kent, England. They settled in Gravesend until their deaths. At the time of their marriage James was a fisherman. Would like to know details of her family if you can find it! Many thanks, Tina

Hello Dawn Thanks for the information regarding John McLeod and Mary Mackay. I have no census information for John and Mary. The information I have is from daughter Mary's Death Certificate where it states that parents are deceased and John's occupation was a House Porter First census for daughter Mary is 1871 in East Lothian age 32 where she is an outworker and with her daughter 1881 census has Mary aged 46 with daughter and Grandson 1901 census has Mary aged 74 outworker Death in 1908 aged 78. Please may I have the names of the McLeod children that you have found and I will see if any of the names link in with Mary's daughters family as she had NINE children Once again thank you very much Regards Kathryn

I'm looking for details of John William Henry Burton b 1878 Scotland, (married to Elizabeth Franklin) died 1961 Lancashire. also parents/siblings of John Wm Henry. Cheers

Hi Dawn Could you look for birth of Robert Simm c.1828 in Perthshire or Edinburgh. birth of Marey Simm c. 1832 Edinburgh birth of Margaret Simm c.1835 Edinburgh Marriage of John Simm in Glasgow or Edinburgh c.1840 he was a gardener and a silversmith. All above children of Robert Simm and Ann Henderson. Could you do a parent search to see if any more children were born in Scotland. Thanks very much. Karen

Hi Dawn, I have very little info to go on so I may be asking too much! I am trying to find the parents and any siblings for a George Thomas Parfrey. I have found him on the 1891 census aged 17 so born about 1874 and living in Lancashire but his place of birth was Scotland - sorry I can't be more specific but would be really grateful for anything you can find. Thank you dawn for this, Im trying to trace details of my mother parents, could you find for me birth certificate for margaret mclain listing her parents. I previously asked about her parents: we now know that Elizabeth howey was not the full name of her mother so all we know is that my grandmothers name was elizabeth. if you could help with finding out the names of margaret mclains parents this would be helpful. she was born on 23 01 1937 in berwick on tweed. she also had a twin called eleanor thank you mary.
