A general search of Lincolnshire brought up just one result: RIDDY THOMAS M 35 LINCOLNSHIRE EAST STREET NEW SLEAFORD LINCOLNSHIRE He was a basket maker Had a bit more luck with Unwin. Do you think this might be him with him family? These are the only Unwins I could find in Purleigh. Thomas Snr is listed as Ag Lab. Hello Kate,Eliza's father was Thomas Thompson and her mother Ann. She appears to have had at least three sisters - Elizabeth, Charlotte and Sarah. The villages around are Tupholme, Southrey, Horsington, Gautby, Stainfield, Stixwood and Potterhanworth. Of course I'm working out of a fairly modern atlas so the villages might not have existed in 1841. Thanks once again for your efforts, Janice.

Hello Kate Many thanks for your kind offer. I know it's a long shot but I wondered if you can find a William Clark or his wife Rebecca Clark. She was born in Wootton around 1759 and he was born about the same time so they would have been in their 80s probably. I know when they married but not their ages then. He was born in either Broughton or Wrawby nr Brigg, Lincolnshire. This is an enormous brick wall but they might have still been alive then. Many thanks Jenny
