Hi Lesley, Thanks for your kind offer. Please could you look on the 1871 census for Samuel & Elizabeth Mellor both would have been about 24 yrs old. They would have had at least 1 child at this time also Samuel and would have been 1 yr old. Samuel was a shoe maker and they were probably living in Gorton, Manchester (maybe Brougham Street.) Can you tell me if there were any other children at the time? Thank you...Helen
