DAWN I cant find Alice with a Parker or a Salt :~( No sign of James Smith & Mary Brocklehurst Marriage either :~( Where are they living in 1861 census? i will have a look for them on 1851 for you. Yeah Becky is really excited about the Pup...The owners of the Parents are really close friends have known them for years....and we know the Parents of the Pups and they are both good tempered. The father is a Rhodhesian Ridgeback X Japanese Ackita...Mother is a American Bullmastiff X Boxer...They are huge and strong so at least nobody will want to try and get in my house lmao....or if they do then they have a death wish lol.....I will put up warning sighns so if they want to risk it its their fault lmao..... Les, You are in Lancs so this should be easy. The JACKMAN family in Parbold. One record shows the 1881 census and a whole family of Jackmans owning a shop in Parbold while another 1881 census record (both from Ancestry.co.uk) shows another family of Jackmans living in Railway Rd. Withnell. Also, Ancestry's 1901 census lists (among others) a Thomas Jackman born 1888 who is probably my father. In the same list is my Auntie Bessie and Uncle Edward F. whom I remember as being my father's half brother and sister so my father's father (John) - who according to the grave record is buried in Christ Church Douglas in Parbold and shown as being born in 1844 and died in 1917 - must have married twice but with all the Jackmans spread around Lancs from Withnell to Parbold and Mawdesley, Wrightington,Eccleston, Croston etc it's all a bit confusing. My father moved to Liverpool where I was born in 1928. Would you like to have a go at sorting it out Lesley ? I would be eternally grateful. Many thanks, John Jackman
