Hi Rosi. Could you find for me please the marriage between Joseph Harden(Harding) & Sarah unknown in Great Horkesley or Colchester. Sarah was born in Gt Horkesley according to the 1851 census. They had the first son bapt 2/9/1849 in St James Colchester, Sarah died in 1852. The register for marriages for in Gt Horkesley is missing in the Record Office. Thanks for looking. Hi Peeps, A singularly unsuccessful hour or two! However - I could not find any marriage for Joseph HARDEN or HARDING in the south! The few I did find were all way up north. Am so sorry. Helen, Again not a lot of luck. Frances Sarah/Sarah Browning 1842 in Whitechapel - not a sign I'm afraid. Jenny Found one Hugh Lord in 1882 - Hugh Hirst LORD ; SEP 1882 Hartlepool 10a 153, and loadsa Freds! none in Hartlepool. the ones I found were mostly in Rochdale. I will pm you with thise details if you like? Kerry, Have had very litle luck in finding ANY of your Scott children. Would the Reg. District have been Sawtry? Or what else? My England Geography needs a lot of brushing up. North of St Albans and I'm lost! Not 100% south of SA either. apologies! Rosi

Hey Pamela, Have found theright marriage I think. GRO Index Army Marriages. (1881-1955) Found Annie Tinker and William Ward marrying in CYPRUS in 1891, page 57. (I also found a William Joseph Ward marrying in Karachi - I think that's Pakistan not India anyway! Hope that helps, Rosi

Hi Rosi, Thanks for the offer, please could you look for birth details of: Leslie Phillips Reginald Phillips Vera Phillips Dora Phillips Born to Alfred Charles Phillips a bible sales man/minister and Frances Phillips (nee Smith) Their first child Harold John Phillips was born in 1902 in Liskard Cornwall, although they did move around. Worthing and Teddington have been mention by relys not sure if this is right?? Regards Viveka

Kerri and Viveka It's not really that easy or even possible to do a 'blanket' search for several different births over a number of years. Look for the name/s family you want to find on a Census, and find out which area and which year/s you want to check - and then I/you can (hopefully) find a reference for the birth in question and order a certificate accordingly. I'll help if I can - but it's only a very big index after all! Rosi I
