I bought the 1841 Suffolk census CD7 covering Mettingham and the South Elmhams but because I didn't get the whole Suffolk set I thought maybe I'd missed a few. Helloe Lorraine, I am trying to locate my Great Grandfather's parents. My Great Grandfather is called William Parkin born in 1829, his birthplace on the 1871 census was Combe Martin North Devon. This would stack up all the way, as all my relatives on the Parkin side come from Combe Martin North Devon In 1841 William Parkin would have been 12 years old. The only name I have for his parents is Charles and Julia? circa 1800's if that is any help to you? The occupation of Charles, the head of the house, would possibly have been silver/tin miners.
