If we ask Susie nicely maybe she'll be kind enough to take a look for Thomas Jordan in 1841 also...........just to make sure he doesn't have a Fanny Jordan living with him also.

I think the JORDAN family is looking good.............They have a Fanny born right time and area and it looks like they didn't marry untill after she was born so could easily be Fanny Saunders. And we Know Martha was a Saunders because of Son James.

Hi Dizzy, I'd take Susie up on her 1841 offer!!! Hopefully put Martha and Fanny Saunders together in Woodrow.

The ' Martha ' death doesnt look so good now as i have found a James Bennett who married a Martha Bristow in 1823 in Great Missenden, near High Wycombe.... AAGH!!!!!

Fiona

Fiona Report 2 Mar 2006 13:55

Possible marriage for Martha and Thomas..........would suggest James was born in 1841 not long before they married as he was down as 9 on the 1851 census...........probably turned 10 just after census was taken.........or they couldn't remember how old he was!!
