Hi Annie
Thanks for the offer of help. I'm trying to the marriage of John Calverley, b.c1781, to Frances ? also b.c1781. They had a son Henry b.c1809. I'd also be interested to find out if there were any more children from this marriage.

Regards
Glyn

The only extra details I have is that it was at Bath registry office. The certificate can be obtained from Bath BMD reference ROI/46/126 (Edward Pillinger Jane Rose).

Annie, I hope you can help - I've tried trawling through Parish Records in Taunton but it is hard work. I am looking for William Francome( or spelt Francomb) to Mary in about 1790 as that was the year their first child was born. The area is St. Swithins ,Walcott , Bath. I also have his son James to Mary Weeks sometime around 1820 to find if you come across it. Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give Hilary

Annie, thank you very much indeed for those Glascodine marriages. Mary was my g-g-g-grandfather's sister, and I am pretty sure that John was related to my family in some way. I 'm not sure where the Anns fit in yet but I am sure they will turn out to be related too! And yes, I have had a look at Bath BMD. It's good, isn't it? Thanks again, Kate.

I had a look for Glascodine. All the marriages took place in Walcot which makes life a bit easier. I am afraid my records only go back to 1750. Have you tried on Bath BMD free site for any thing after 1837? First one Walcot St. Mary. Ann Glascodine spinster OTP married Aaron Llewellen batchelor OTP. 6.01.1795 Second one different Anne 13. 06. 1798 spinster otp married John Russell widower otp Walcott st. Swithens. third one John Glascodine batchelor of the parish married Caroline Cook spinster of the parish 17. 01. 1825 after banns at Walcott St. Swithens forth one could be same John 21.08.1833 John Glascodine Widower married Louisa Criddle spinster OTp Walcott St. Swithens Last one Mary Glascodine spinster OTP married William Farmer batchelor 25/10/1836 Walcott st. Swithens. I hope that makes some sense of your family history.

I am sorry Jeffrey your marriage is not on the Bath disc. i looked on Bath BMD as well in case it was a bit later than you thought.

Elizabeth I could not find your Ford marriage but my disc does not cover Frome. I did find Thomas Lewis at Camerton. It is a bit earlier than you thought so there might be older children. He married Mary Harding on 2. 06. 1811. by banns. They are both described as sejourners which is a term I have not come across before but I think it means they were only there on a temporary basis.

Hi Annie, Thanks very much for the offer. Please don't do this if it is difficult, but if it is indexed by surname, please please can you give me the details of any entries for the surname Glasscodine or Glascodine? It is a very rare surname and I seem to be just about the only person researching it! I believe all the Glasscodines were related to each other way back. My great-grandmother was a Glasscodine and her ancestors came from Bath - the furthest back I have is John Glascadine or Gaskardine married Jane Lidiard 13 Apr 1789 St. James, Bath, but my (late) grandmother's family tree has John's father as William who married in 1733 - she hasn't put who he married! And she has William's father as Roger who married in 1708, but again she hasn't put who he married. Like I said, though, please don't do this if it is going to take ages, only if it is quick! I wouldn't want to take up much of your time on it! Kate.

Hi Annie, Once again I am taking up your kind offer. I am searching for the marriages of: John Ford (born 1750 Writhlington, Somerset) married Betty Dicks (born 1750). The marriage would have been around 1770 in Writhlington, or Frome, Somerset. And Thomas Lewis born 1789 Timsbury, Somerset to Maria born 1793 Timsbury, Somerset. The marriage would have been around 1820-1825 in Timsbury or Camerton, Somerset. The first child known was born 1825 Camerton. Many thanks once again. Elizabeth
