I've checked Deaths 1984 to 2002 for Ellen Amelia Probert and no joy So by some miracle she's still alive, or she died after 1961 but b4 1984 Or she re-married Hi Deb I think Beryl is the sister love not Kenneths wife, we will still need to check marriages after 1963 for Kenneth But i think you'll have to buy some certs and the Beryl one should be one of them hun

Hi Deb you know i found this Beryl yesterday Beryl E Smith 1936 O-D Lutterworth 7a 6 MMN Matthews i thought that Lutterworth was the wrong area BUT!!! it was in Warwickshire and it means in 1957 when Beryl appears it would make her birth yr 1936 so i don't think Kenneth married a Beryl i think Beryl is the Sister x K x Of course you'll need the cert to be 100% but we did check up to 1963 for Kenneth M F Marriages Yesterday with no joy..we should also keep checking for a marriage for him ( if he married)

As an afterthought, when i ordered the death cert for the right ish time for Samuels disappearance off the boards (hoping it would show Maud as a wife or a sons name as informant) it showed the right address and an E. A. Probert as a sister in law. Which didnt seem much help at the time. Well she couldnt be his sister (or it would be in law), she couldnt be his brothers wife (or she'd be a sister), she couldnt be his wifes unmarried sister (or shed be a Matthews) so she must be the wifes sister who got married. So she was listed as living in Birmingham. So i'd say that if we're right on the other fronts then theres a E.A.Matthews marrying a Probate in Birmingham probably around the 20's-40's. Not thats that helps much, it just ties in all the loose ends and makes the whole thing much more likely. x Deb

Thanks! Wonder why he was on his own in '59 though. Strange. Did you get my email about the Beryl - Kenneth marriage not being the right one. So that still leaves us with a Beryl that was 21 and in the house in 1957. Im beginning to hate this household, LOL!
