RIDGE Family for Horatia Nelson Hi Mary you couldn't find George William Ridge but his wife was Sarah Maude Andersen and there is a Maude Ridge and a Sarah Ridge listed on my web search results on FTM for 1920 and 1930 US censuses. There is a Sarah M Ridge listed on 1930 (George William Ridge's wife?) and a Maud Ridge listed on the 1920 US census. Again, I wonder if this is George William Ridge's wife? Can I ask you to have a peep for me? She was born about 1890. Cheers, Horatia

Hi Mary The name is sometimes mistranscribed as NERVEY The wife's name was Edith but doubt if she went to the USA. The woman on the immigration record found was Sarah and probably not his wife LOL Son, George Edward NEWEY was born in 1907 in Ilkley, Yorkshire. They went to USA in 1912 and returned possibly the same year. Alfred George NEWEY or George may have gone to USA previously as he can't be found on UK 1901 census. After 1912ish, no more is known about Alfred George. Cannot find his death anywhere. He left his son with foster parents in Ludlow, Shropshire and never returned. Mystery man!!! Margaret

Dear Mary, could you please help me with a U.S. look-up In the 1860 and 1870 census? I am searching for Anderson (Andy) Hill born Co. Tyrone Ireland c.1820. His wife would possibly be Sarah also from Tyrone. He died in Boston Massachusetts in the 1870's I believe. Thankyou for your help. Regards Carol

Hi Mary. I wonder if you could double check the 1900 USA census for me. Its for John Nelson born about 1868 in England living in Manhatton, New York, with his wife Mary and their children.I think the address is Watt Street. I have a copy but cannot make out the occupation. It could be Sea something or Tea something. The copy I have is quite small and it is hard to read. Also the 1910 census which I have a copy of, but the lady that sent it to me has left the occupation off. If I could find the occupation it might tie up with the 1900 one. Thank you very much,it would be much appreciated. Regards Marlene
