Hello Penelope, Can you check the three Scottish censuses for this couple please-Alexander Clark,wife Marion.Her maiden name was Muir and I think they were probably about 45 plus at the time of the 1841 census.Their daughter Agnes died 1858 and the parents were not down as deceased on her death cert.Alexander was a mason.The three daughters I know about were in Biggar,Lanark in 1841 aged 25,20 and 15 but not with the parents.Many thanks for any possible help. Thank you very much,Pen-now at least I know Alex Clark was from Biggar and his approximate age.Can you try one more difficult one for me please.James Inglis(or Ingles) ,wife Elizabeth Ross were in the Edinburgh area when they had my gg grandfather,also a James between 1800 and 1810.(maybe Glencorse or Musselburgh,the two parishes James junr put down as his birthplace in different censuses).He may have been an innkeeper.Can you try for the pair in the 1841 ,1851 censuses.
