Hi Helen, This is the only one mentions Dublin.. William Smith O'Brien Petition Last name First name County Petition Ellit Mary Dublin Dublin (Part1) Full details Surname Ellit First Name Mary County Dublin Petition Dublin (Part1) Street Number Address 1 Address 2 Signed At Date Misc. Signature Number 1667 NAI Reference CRF 1848 O 16/2/051part1 Sheet Number 487 About William Smith O'Brien Petition What do these records tell you? For the family history researcher the William Smith O'Brien Petition records are essentially a census substitute: they give the names of people present at a particular place and time. Addresses are often given, and sometimes occupations. The petition was generated between October 1848 and May 1849, so during the Famine years in Ireland. These records complement those of the Griffith's Valuation, conducted between 1847 and 1864. Where a petitioner signatory was a head of household you may find that person's name in Griffith's Valuation - a useful cross-check.

Hi there - I did look on the site and saw there were marriage details of Andrew WILKES. I have never been able to find details when Andrew married early 1800's and wondered if this showed any details. Many thanks Irene

Hi Tracy, I hate to be greedy but could I bother you for another look up. I am desperate to find my GG grandmother in the 1841 census, she is as follows Ann M Vaughn/Stubbersfield/ Burrage or variations on the names I am really not sure which name she will be using. Ann was born in 1832 in Wateringbury, Kent. Many thanks Liz

Hello Tracy I don't know whether you can help or not. I'm trying to find the families of my great great grandparents. The families concerned are the Cummins and Dunne families Thomas Cummins was born in Dublin in 1842. His parents were John and Frances Cummins, 2 Britain Court. Thomas lived at 16 Essex Street West in 1868 with, I think, his brother Michael. Jane Dunne married Thomas in 1868. Her parents were John and Margaret Dunne, address 28 Plunkett Street. Thomas and Jane eventually came to Liverpool. Any additional information would be really welcome Thanks in advanceBarbara
