Also to add credence to the theory about Mary Ann MOORE as the daughter of Wm MOORE & Annie Amelia, but born as LEE in 1899, is the year of her marriage: |

Thank you so much Cherilyn. You have made it all so plain and I can understand it all. My head had been swimming with all the information and I couldn't see the big picture. |

Cherilyn, I think that the 1940 death could be my Great Grandfather, and yes the 1906 Death is indeed my relative. He was the first born son of my Grandfather Arthur Henry and Violet Lee. He choked on a hazelnut skin when he was little and is buried in the Foxton Cemetery next to his younger brother William - (who was killed when knocked off his bike on his way to work. He had 2 sons, William and Trevor. His widow Doreen remarried and had another 2 sons, Kenneth and James to Kenneth Pike an American who was posted here during the war and who remained in NZ after the war ended. I used to visit them in Auckland and still keep in touch with William, Kenneth and James. Trevor died of leukaemia in his early 20's.) - and his parents. My mother and father are buried very close by. |

Hi again.......just wondering if anyone can find a death date for MOORE Charles Hamilton born in 1910 in New Zealand. Mother, Ann was Lee nee Bohee and father, William Hamilton Moore. They were married in 1910. |

Ooops just realised I have a wrong date there. Henry Arthur married Ann Bohee 1882. The same year her mother married William Mackersey. |

I have ordered the marriage printout for Henry Arthur LEE and Ann Amelia Bohee married 1882 to see if that can help me trace his tree further back?? |

Update........I have found the death year and burial place for Charles. His remains are with his parents, William and Amelia, in the old cemetery in Levin. He died in 1996. |

Looks good to me! Interesting that Wm and Amelia were the witnesses, but Amelia was still Bohee - they must have married soon after. |

That's what I thought Cherilyn :-). I ordered and received a printout from BDM of my Grandfathers marriage thinking it could have shown the correct names but it is exactly the same as the one I have from my Grandfathers possessions. This then takes me back to the fact that she either was known as Mary Ann or there was a mistake in the records. |
