Can anyone help please

I’m trying to find a marriage for
Alec Campbell
Son of John Gray and Agnes (nee) Campbell - with Fleming as her middle name

Alec DOB - 1920/21 probably Kilmarnock - just maybe Rutherglen

He had 2 brothers Thomas and John - and later, when John Gray died - and Agnes remarried - a sister Louisa.

When did Alec marry - to whom, and what children they had.

When do you think Agnes married Gray? And who was her second husband?

Can see only one Agnes Fleming Campbell birth before 1929.......impossible for this one to be having a child in 1920/21

Maddie has all the correct details which match other research I’ve done - Blantyre would fit in for his birth - I only knew the family had lived in Kilmarnock for some time but there are other close relations in Blantyre, so that’s logical.

Thanks Maddie for confirming he had married…. Odd that his wife’s name is not listed….? Many years ago I made contact with one of his daughters through another site - sadly I’ve lost that connection now, otherwise I could ask her for more details. At that time she’d said her father had died, but didn’t say when. And the family lived in the Kilmarnock area.
I had let the research drop there - but now have reason to learn his children’s names.

sorry but i didn't say he had married only that no spouse was recorded, not much help i know

I imagine the one in Kilmarnock may be the one mentioned on the tree quoted by Maddie, but you would have to buy a copy of the cert to make sure.

You stated in your post at 14.56 that you had contacted one of the man’s daughters……..not sure, therefore, why you are asking if he had any children :-0 :-0

Erika - yes one of his daughters replied to a research question, and inferred there were only daughters - but someone who says he’s a son has made contact - so just wanted to check that out as she made no mention of him.
