I am trying to get the birth registration ,volume and page references for a William Clarkson born in the registration Quarter of jan-feb-mar 1875 in Preston,Lancashire,England.I know he was baptised on the 26th of December 1875 at St. Johns Preston Lancashire,child of William Clarkson and Maria,abode Corry st. Why do you say the birth was in JFM if you haven’t found the registration? His DoB is not recorded on the baptism on LanOPC.

His birth year is recorded as 1876 on 1881 census, so his birth would have been after the end of the first qtr

In 1891, William born 1876 is GRANDSON of Maria.

There is a birth in Preston in 1875 on LancsBMD with MMN Clarkson

thankyou everybody. i wanted to check who was william clarksons mother because i thought Maria was too old to be his mother.Now i know who he belongs to.I am trying to link william to my great grandmother Jane ellen Howarth both born in preston and got married in Lancaster parish church in 1900.his father is also named william clarkson on his weddding cert occupation weaver.So thankyou everybody again for your help.regards terry :-) :-)

thankyou so much everyone.Its the Chorley william clarkson who is my great grandfather.My grandmother was ann ellen clarkson.I am just lost as to how to connect him to the family in preston living at corry st in 1881.
