Thank you all. Mary Cooke married Matthew Driver. A friend who is a member of My Heritage checked for me. |

Large numbers of Ancestry trees say that Ann Drury's father was Henry Drury , and her mother Mary Cooke. |

He works at the family archive in the local library. |

As you said, Names, it would be helpful to know where the person in the library found mention of Henry. |

Another reason for always checking out the research done by others. |

I don't see any records showing that John Driver's father was Henry. |

I'm sure I found an old thread about Edmund a couple of days ago, started by Patrick - but now can't find it again. |

When you say your local library ‘did for you’ are you saying someone looked it up for you? |

Patrick | Report | 17 Feb 2023 22:41 |
This is what my local library did for me. |

How did you work back? |

The only John Driver born (or at least baptised) in1669 that I can see on Ancestry is one in Bourton on the Hill, Gloucestershire - but his father's name was William. |

Even if you don’t know where he was born, an indication of which part of the country would very much help those trying to find them for you. |

Where? |

Patrick | Report | 15 Feb 2023 17:35 |
The only other information I have is that he was born in 1640 and had a son John in 1669. |
