Just throwing a spanner into the works. Maybe Ann... was never their child and they 'acquired' her in a private adoption.
Maybe she was actually born elsewhere. My late father in law was the only child not born in Yorkshire - must to his disgust.. He was the third of six children.

I have Catherine's marriage certificate I did put a thread on here at the time as her father was down as James Joseph yet on his marriage certificate it had James
I was alwat told by my parents that my gran Catherine Kelly was born in Ireland but on all the censuses it has Manchester I never been able to find her birth or 2 of her siblings But thank you for getting the 1921 census

If you want to go back further with Catherine, nee Kelly, you will have to get a copy of one of her marriage certs, to see who she named as her father
Otherwise, everything is guesswork

Sylvia - re Annie -
Unfortunately the only Turner/Kelly birth in Manchester or Chorlton in 1907-1911 was Martha's in 1910.
There were four Annie Turners born in Chorlton in that timeframe, but their mothers' names were Bayley, McKenzie, Macaloon, and Heyes. Also one in Manchester, with mmn Kirwin.
There was no Ann, Anne, Anna, Hannah, Nan, Nancy, or anything even vaguely similar.

Re Annie/Anna
Have you thought HANNAH?????
It took me many years to find my great-grandmother Hannah after she left the family sometime after the 1891 Census. Eventually help from on here traced her as Annie, which was apparently her nickname but then adopted by her as her "real" name.
I finally put her to rest about September last year after finding her on the 1921 Census and then finally her death in 1922 ....... still as Annie
It didn't help of course that her surname was as common as Hannah/Annie

In your opening post you said you'd never found Catherine Kelly's birth.
Do you have either of her marriage certs to see what her father's name was?
Joseph's army record gives her DOB as 28 July 1885. 1939 (which is frequently a year or two out re birth) says 28 July 1886.
[DELETED A WRONG GUESS AT CATHERINE'S FAMILY, WITH PARENTS' NAMES JOHN AND MARY.
SYLANN SAYS LATER ( 9 FEB @ 12:41) THAT CATHERINE'S FATHER'S NAME WAS JAMES JOSEPH.]

Sylann - lots of people have problems with cut and paste, iPads are particularly difficult at times.
You can’t put your threads together as such, only Genes can do that but I don’t suppose they would. Just like you have added a post or two on here you can do the same with any of your threads. If you want to move one up the list a simple n or nudge in the box will bring it up.
You are doing OK. Lots of people who post are novices or have medical issues. Those of us who are most expert should sometimes be more patient and explain better.
