Hello Everyone,
Many, many thanks for all your kind help in trying to sort out this rather confusing part of my tree !!
It is all starting to make sense now.
Apologies for nor replying sooner, as I have had some surgery, and have been laying low to recover. Almost done on that front.....
I have amended my tree to accommodate what has been said.
So, it looks like daughter Mary JaneTizard, was in fact Mary Jane BOWN or possible SLY !! - depending which side of her parents marriage she was born....
Thanks for the Marriage link to Wiliam Kendle.
Since adding all this to my tree, I see that another person on Ancestry has a possible 2nd marriage of Mary Jane Bown / Sly to William/Walter MARTELL and they have a daughter - Kate Mary MARTELL b Staines Sept 1871.
Is anyone able to help me find this new addition to the family??
Regards,

Can't see William Kindle/Kendle definitely after the marriage to Mary Jane. Maybe he was still alive??

Thanks ArgyllGran,
That all seems to make sense now... I couldn't find a marriage either for Mary Jane Bown / Sly & Walter Martell.
So, Rachel is in fact - Walters '1st wife' after having at least 4 chidren with Mary Jane Bown.
Thanks again !!

There was NO marriage between Bown and Sly - their daughter was illegitimate, as I stated. All info posted shows that to be a fact
