Looking for a Emma Jane Lovejoy, Last heard of living in Pier Road Northfleet Kent in 1921, from there nothing about her. Her,maiden names was Mills. A rumour in the family she may have gone to Canada

I am looking for a friends son, said she just seems to have disappeared. His grandfather never spoke about her so his Mum knows nothing.

She's not even on any tree on Ancestry.

Someone called Valerie Roberts has her on her GR tree.

That’s good, my cousin lives in St Andrews and said quite pleasant there. Will leave young Kevin to pay for that. Bad enough trying to find my own family, at least I know now that my grandparents were still together in 1921 albeit in lodgings in Shropshire , couldnt find my Dad age 7, then found him living with my Nans parents in Gloucester age 7 yrs old, only thing I can think about that , is that , their marriage must have been rocky at that stage. Grandad was a nightmare to find, logged on to the wrong William John Lewis for 2 years until the 1911 census came out. , then couldn’t find his death for years until someone on GR found it in Shrewsbury so then knew he never returned to Wales. Felt content when he was found, he was still alive when I had my children but sadly I never met him, feel sad about that.

Wow thanks AG , finding the son Edward, in Gravesend, the same address that my friend lived at in the 50,s but I didn’t know her dad . Ironically his birth date on 11th July, would have been a couple of days ago, That was our 63rd wedding anniversary

If you cant find the surname of the William living in the household of Emma Jane Lovejoy, she may have been associated with him. Lots of people living in the household because all the houses in Pier Road Northfleet are beautiful 3 story houses so obviously were people lodged. It was a very upmarket area in those days, the Royalty and elite would sail down the Thames to visit Rosherville Gardens situated next to Pier Road.

Emma Terry is Emma Jane and William's mother, after her second marriage in 1903, to Henry George Robert Terry ( he died 1907) , and Ivy is their half sister.
