Looks like they may be in Plumstead with william stating he wa born in Rochester. See the trees on Ancestry.

Thanks namelessone I have tried to find a birth for him but can't. HIs Fathers name is either George or Joseph Pearson depending on which marriage cert you look at. Probably A transcription error.

As for looking at the trees on Ancestry I will have to wait until I can get to the library to do that.

Re the fbmd 1848 birth that Names mentioned, Medway RD covering both Rochester and Chatham, and that birth also tallying with age in 1871 ( though maybe 27 got mistranscribed as 22 when the numerator collated the household forms)...

GRO has mmn BISSELL for that birth.

Have not found a Pearson- Bissell marriage to rule this birth in or out.

Can anyone find a marriage with groom named Joseph or George Pearson, or definitely named somthing else?
