Hi all does any one know who the mother of Harold GP Creasey from East Grinstead is
born 1911 ,Found him on the 1921 census but not sure who his mother is.

As the GRO site shows a - under the Mother's maiden name it's likely that he was illegitimate.

You may have to get a copy of the birth certificate to determine the Mother's name.

1921 - Harold, James, Esther and 4 others are on the census

By manipulating, the others may include
Cela J b 1920, Ernest H, Florence M 1899, Violet L 1901

An ancestry tree shows on an Army enlistment form that a daughter of James and Esther - Hettie Winifred Creasey - married on 25 Dec 1913 to Frank Thomas Woodrow.

Children listed as Harold 8.6.1911, Wilfred Frank 1.12.1913 and Esme Doris 1.5.1916, although elsewhere Harold's name appears to have been struck thorough (unless it's a crease in the paper!).

There are other children after this as per tree after Frank Woodrow's Army service was completed.

The only way to know is to buy Harold’s birth cert

Maybe he was the illegitimate son of one of the daughters
