in 1861 Elizabeth is a Needlewoman, in 1881 a Seamstress so other census which are possible are only that, And can't find her parents. |

Yes to Newport about 1812 but absolutely no record of birth ancestry, Freereg, FSO, waiting on Isle of Wight fhs to let me in! |

There is a Charles Ward, shipwright of Spring Street who dies aged 43 on the 11th Nov 1860. Did you say your Charles died in 1849? |
