The Tree also has the Image of Christian's Burial at St Clement Danes on 5 Dec 1819, his Abode was given as Workhouse.

Maddie and London Belle, thank you so much for your very prompt replies. The information is much more than I'd expected. Christian is my 4x gt grandfather and was a famous bookbinder who moved to London from Lieberhausen near Cologne. His bindings are on sale for vast sums of money, but he was an alcoholic and spent his money accordingly. As you have discovered he ended up in the workhouse.
His bookbindings are exquisite, and some are in the British Library.
So grateful for your help. I wasn't aware of all of his siblings.
