Trying to find a family in the 1841, I have put in most of the family Christian names and just unable to find the family. Name of Stopford and living in Droylsden or Ashton under Lyne Lancashire. Believe husband Abraham died 3 Mar 1841, so unsure if they didn't admit their census because of his death. Another pair of eyes please |

I have seen this one but on the 1851 census Abraham wasn't on it and states mother widow of son William b 1821 ,his wife and siblings was named Mary. So this is not the Abraham I want. Many thanks |

Yes I had found the family in both these census, i I just can’t find a marriage for Abraham and Mary nor a birth for Abraham. However I did find a marriage of Abraham Stopford and Betty Andrews (Ashton) in 1780 in Ashton under Lyne but couldn’t find if they had a son Abraham . Found a connection possibly of this marriage because Abraham and Mary had a daughter named Betty baptised 29th June 1823. Obviously in the 1841 and 1851 census Abraham husband was not listed so presume he was the death listed in 1841 |

Sorry, I had not found the family in 1841, but I had found the names of the children on Family Search. Also found the marriage of a daughter Betty Stopford, with father Abraham his occ Bricklayer, which seems to connect with son William in 1851 census also a bricklayer by trade |

Oh wow Erika H so that’s a different occ of Abraham. Just looked at the marriage of William Baptised 22Apr 1821another son and father Abraham bricklayer. so he must have changed career because Paul is his brother. I am actually going down the line of William Stopford my late sister in laws line. |
