Think I have found marriage for George Powell in Belper 1938 and a son Glyn Powell in 1940 so it all seems to be coming together now. Many msny thanks for your help. All this has helped to connect the crew of a Lancaster together killed zGermany 1944. George Powell being the last of 2 to be found.

I have just had a message from a friend also looking. He said he remember years ago someone called Gill Powell said she was 12 when her father was killed in 1944, will have to try and find a marriage for George.

This could be them with sons Fred and George, , just spotted s daughter age 5 . Beatrice's age 20 ? maybe 30 husband Frederick was 32 .

Maybe parents could have died by 1944, , nor sure if Matlock were effected by the bombing , in near by Sheffield were I came from and they had a lot of deaths

Not seeing the parents on the 1911 census. Or George

WW2 service records are not online - still with the MOD.

Can't find his parents on the 1939 Register - at least not together, and not in Derbyshire. .

Can't see the family in 1911, either.
