	Czechoslovakia, Czech and Slovak Ceskoslovensko, former country in central Europe encompassing the historical lands of Bohemia, Moravia, and Slovakia. Czechoslovakia was formed from several provinces of the collapsing empire of Austria-Hungary in 1918, at the end of World War I. On January 1, 1993, Czechoslovakia separated peacefully into two new countries, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Member Since: March 2004 Posts: 376 Send Message	I have today spoken with a lady at the National Australian Archives in Perth they have several papers on Clement Hubert Karlovsky's application for Naturalisation. I am going to their office next Thursday to look at them I think this should give me his place of birth also his family names.

Perhaps his appliation for Naturalisation will give his actual place of birth.? Australian Archives.

Member Since: May 2006 Posts: 7,005 Send Message	But now you can search for Clement son of Joseph & Antoine which is better than just looking for any Clement. Clement Hubert is probably an anglised version of his original names so you might have to look into that too. Good luck

Member Since: March 2004 Posts: 376 Send Message	Received the marriage Certificate today 3 July 1912 at West Perth it has his parents as Joseph Karlovsky (grocer) & Antonie Vitkova he was aged 29 years so born about 1883. It does not give any address's sorry to say
