It is always worth redoing all the research after a time gap. New records are arriving on line all the time and you might spot something different.

It seems strange that we have been unable to find Henry Redford prior to his Marriage to Selina!
I keep looking at the following two Censuses, so I'm going to Post them in the hope that they may come to something.....of course they may not!

Both the 1851 & 1861 Census has Henry Redfern born Hyde, Cheshire. Some of the Censuses found for Henry Redford said he was born in Aston under Lyne. The later Registration District for Aston under Lyne had Hyde in its District

Yes, too many red herrings - let alone Redferns , Redfords and similar.

Going back to William Harrison -

I know 1851 says he's widowed, but 1861 says he's married, although there's no wife with him in either 1851 or 1861.

No wife with William in 1851 and 1861, and 1851 says he's widowed, although 1861 says married. Also very different YOBs for Sarah.

Possibly two wives named Sarah!
Or the William below is a different man - lots of nailers in the area at the time.
