You say his death cert says he was a Stonemason - the man in Plymouth in 1871 and 1881 is a HAWKER,

I didn't think that death certs gave birthplace info until after 1969

I am trying to find my ancestor William Hart Hardcastle who was born in 1810 in Yorkshire.
I have only very small information on him and would love to find his roots. The information I now have is that William died in 1884 in Plymouth Devon, he had a daughter called Elizabeth Mary Hardcastle who i believe was born in 1863 in Cornwall.(unable to find birth record)
In 1881 William is in Plymouth with Elizabeth.
In 1871 William is in Holsworthy with his wife Mary who sadly died in 1872.
I have a marriage of a William to a Mary in Cornwall in 1866 but unsure if this is him.
I do have a death Certificate for him which states he was born in Yorkshire and that he was a stonemason
Any help or ideas would be grateful I need to crack this as I have been working on it for so many years and my uncle before me who has passed.
