Is that the only reference you have? No indication of father's details?

I have nothing. Lorraine's father, Glen, doesn't even have a birth certificate. When he first attempted to come to Australia he was refused because he had no papers. When his brother Denzel came to Australia, he apparently had some information (possibly his father's army commission papers) from his father (Leslie).
Because of those papers Glen and his family were allowed to emigrate.
We have nothing else and can no longer obtain Leslie's army papers. Frustrating stuff. I will speak to Glen and try to find out about Irene Muriel. Enough for now - Thanks again for your help and I will update in a few days. <3

You said that Wilfred Frank Walker (Glen's brother) died in Scotland in 2011.
There is no record of his death on Scotlands People website.
Could this be his death, in France? Slightly different DOB from the one you have stated.

Thanks to everyone who has responded. I have been unable to visit Glen because of the Covid and unfortunately his speech is difficult to understand as he has suffered a stroke.
I will print out your terrific information and see what I can make of it.
This certainly gives me leads to follow and when I can visit Glen I'll be able to put all this to him. . Thanks again and I will keep you informed of my progress.

My wife was finally able to visit her father. He said that Irene Muriel was definitely his aunt and it is highly likely that Reuben George was his Grandfather's name. Wilfred may very well have died in France as his former wife moved there. Great stuff everyone. :-) Sincerely David carter
