Re Harriet Ann Bainbridge , who's with her parents and siblings in 1901, and a servant in another household in 1911 -
I don't think she married.
Living with John Bainbridge (her father) in 1918:
Harriet Ann Bainbridge in the West Yorkshire, England, Electoral Registers, 1840-1962 Name: Harriet Ann Bainbridge Year: 1918 Country: England County: West Yorkshire Parliamentary Division: Barkston Ash Reference Number: Barkston Ash
In 1921 she's with her father John, her brother John Jenkinson Bainbridge, and his wife Annie:
Harriet Ann Bainbridge in the West Yorkshire, England, Electoral Registers, 1840-1962 Name: Harriet Ann Bainbridge Year: 1921 Country: England County: West Yorkshire Parliamentary Division: Barkston Ash Place of Abode: Archer Cottages Reference Number: Barkston Ash
With her father in 1934:
Harriet Bainbridge in the West Yorkshire, England, Electoral Registers, 1840-1962 Name: Harriet Bainbridge Gender: Female Year: 1934 Country: England County: West Yorkshire Parliamentary Division: Barkston Ash Place of Abode: 2 The nook Reference Number: Barkston Ash
Living alone in 1936:

EDIT: Actually, that's probably her mother Harriet Ann in 1918 and 1921. She (the mother) died in 1922:

Argyll Gran, just got some more info. Henry Bainbridge birth mother was Ada Bainbridge who married Thomas Stansfield in 1916. Don't know why they did not keep Henry, Ada possibly gave him up when he was born!! Henry married Rose Alexander in 1937 registered at Howden. I'm beginning to think its quite possible that Joseph Bainbridge and Ellen Maude could be the ones who bought Henry up, Not everyone used their given names, did they, certainly in my family that happened quite a lot!! :-S

Oh gosh, have had to have another look now. As far as I know her Mother has given her these snippets of information. I do not know her Mum and she is quite elderly now, but she is going to see if her mum can remember anything else.

ArgyllGran. You are right as I didn't have much to go on I thought if I could at least find their marriage it would give me a clue, but it wasn't the right way to go about it, I see that now, but with all the info I have received from all of you I think its falling into shape, but I do need a break for a while.

I suspect that Henry's grand-daughter was just told that he lived with his aunt Maud and uncle Jack, and then Teresa looked for any vaguely possible marriage.
I don't think the Guisborough marriage is necessarily anything to do with Henry. The name Bainbridge may also be a red herring, if they were Henry's maternal relatives.
Re the 1915 birth - There's a Bainbridge family in Chapel Haddlesey (in Selby RD) in 1911,with two daughters, one of whom may have been his mother. They both married after 1915. There's also a brother named John, but he married an Alice, not a Maud.
John Bainbridge in the 1911 England Census Name: John Bainbridge Age in 1911: 53 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1858 Relation to Head: Head Gender: Male Birth Place: Sutton On Forest, Yorkshire, England Civil Parish: Hirst Courtney Temple Hirst Chapel Haddlesey County/Island: Yorkshire-West Riding Country: England Street Address: Chapel Haddlesey Selby Marital status: Married Occupation: General Labourer Registration District: Selby Registration District Number: 515 Sub-registration District: Carlton ED, institution, or vessel: 06 Piece: 28307 Household Members: Name Age John Bainbridge 53 Harriet Ann Bainbridge 52 John Jenkinson Bainbridge 25 Ada Mary Bainbridge 16
John married Annie Hartley in 1920. Ada married Thomas Stansfield in 1916. Sarah married James Hanson in 1920.
There's another sister Harriet, on the 1901 census. She's a servant in Selby in 1911.
ADDED: Ah! But! There's a brother Joseph on the 1891 census for that family - could possibly have been known as Jack?:
Joseph Bainbridge in the 1901 England Census Name: Joseph Bainbridge Age: 9 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1892 Relation to Head: Son Gender: Male Father: John Bainbridge Mother: Harriet A Bainbridge Birth Place: Chapel Haddlesey, Yorkshire, England Civil Parish: Chapel Haddlesey Ecclesiastical parish: Haddlesey St John the Baptist County/Island: Yorkshire Country: England Street Address: Registration District: Selby Sub-registration District: Carlton ED, institution, or vessel: 6 Neighbors: Piece: 4426 Folio: 63 Page Number: 12 Household Schedule Number: 19 Household Members: Name Age John Bainbridge 44 Harriet A Bainbridge 43 Charles H Bainbridge 13 Joseph Bainbridge 9 George S Bainbridge 8 Ada M Bainbridge 6 Harriet A Bainbridge 6 Sarah A Bainbridge 2

Ellen M was born 29 Jan 1890, per 1939 register - Joseph and Ellen living in Selby with daughter Nellie and daughter-in-law Rose - and a closed record.

The daughter-in-law Rose had married HENRY Bainbridge:

I don't see the biirth of a Henry Bainbridge with mms Ducker. Could be their nephew??
Teresa - does your friend know her grandmother's name?
Does her mother (what's her first name?) have any siblings?
There are Bainbridge/Alexander children born in the Selby/Howden area : Alec - 1939 Vera - 1940 Geoffrey - 1943 Gordon - 1945 Margaret R - 1950
Also possibly Gary 1953, Sylvia 1954, and David A 1957.

Yes, sorry, Teresa, I meant your friend's mother.
Did your friend's mother just say Jack, or did she specify John Frederick? Did she give a surname?
The 1915 birth already posted - illegitimate.

If it was Elizabeth Jobson then its her brother with them on the 1911 census as he's the right age.

As your friend was born 1972, her mother was possibly born about 1930s-40s, and therefore Henry may have been born about 1915 or earlier, at a very rough guess.
If he wasn't born until after the 1911 census, and had left his uncle and aunt's home before 1939, there will be no record of them all together.
Is Yorkshire relevant, or likely?
Jack and Maud may have been his maternal relatives, and not named Bainbridge at all.
If one of them was indeed a Bainbridge, there's this marriage:
Marriages Jun 1907 (>99%) BAINBRIDGE Maud Hartlepool 10a 301 HAND James Andrew Hartlepool 10a 301
Jack is usually a nickname for John, but can also be for James - or could bear no relation to his real name.
James's death:
Deaths Jun 1932 (>99%) Andrewan James 45 Hartlepool 10a 157
Maud in 1939:
Maud Andrewman in the 1939 England and Wales Register Name: Maud Andrewman [Maud Andrewan] Gender: Female Marital status: Widowed Birth Date: 10 Sep 1887 Residence Year: 1939 Address: 6 Cross Henley Rd. Residence Place: Leeds, Yorkshire (West Riding), England Occupation: Unpaid Domestic Duties Line Number: 26 Schedule Number: 139 Sub Schedule Number: 3 Enumeration District: KGSW KGSX Borough: Leeds Registration District: 501-1 Household Members: Name Mary McKerracher This record is officially closed. Maud Andrewman
I can't see them in 1911.
